Do I need a foundation for my mattress?

Your mattress needs to rest on a firm and well-ventilated flat surface. Most platform beds provide adequate support and airflow for our all natural-rubber latex options without the need for a foundation (so long as slats are not more than 3" apart).

For our REST hybrid mattress models platform beds are recommended to have slats spaced no more than 1" apart to properly support the coil system. 

Otherwise a proper foundation (or box spring) is required and recommended. See our warranty for more information about proper support for your mattress.

Note: Never place your mattress directly on the floor.
