The Rossa™ is a hybrid organic mattress that pairs an advanced pocket-coil support system with a sculpted latex comfort layer, available in Plush, Medium or Firm comfort. A zippered cover makes it easy to reach the comfort layer.
The sculpted surface adds pressure-point relief and increased air circulation for cool sleep, and the Rossa is finished in our beautiful, durable ivory woven cotton quilting. Use it with an OMI foundation or our Supplemental Foundation Layer (SFL™); one is required for warranty coverage.

Ivory wovenFor mattresses with pocketed coils (REST®), the SFL™ is required on box springs and on wood-slat foundations with more than 1″ between slats. For queen and larger sizes, a center support must be present.

The density and ILD of our latex cores, gram weights of fabrics, steel gauges, coil counts, durability testing techniques, fill weights and other technical product details are confidential and will not be disclosed by OMI staff if asked. Reverse engineering for the purpose of replicating or duplicating our products is strictly forbidden. OMI reserves all rights and remedies for violations of intellectual property, trade secrets and confidentiality.
As a general guide, side sleepers tend to do best with Medium, which lets the mattress contour to hips and shoulders. Back sleepers usually prefer Medium-Firm for spinal alignment without feeling rigid. Stomach sleepers typically need Firm so the hips don't sink and strain the lower back.

Every OMI mattress is made with the same certified organic materials: GOTS certified organic cotton and wool, and GOLS certified organic natural rubber latex (our Traditional is latex-free). They differ in construction and feel.
The OrganicPedic® and OrganicPedic Earth® collections are all-latex, from low-profile and firm to deep, sculpted pillow-tops. Customizable models like the Duo™ let you swap and split latex layers so each sleeper can choose their own feel. The REST® collection pairs a latex comfort layer with pocketed coils for a springier feel and more airflow. The Traditional is our latex-free innerspring option.

Your mattress needs proper support, and our warranty requires it. We recommend an OMI Wood-Slat Foundation. OMI mattresses also work on most solid platform beds, slatted frames and adjustable bases (see Adjustable-Base Friendly in the specifications).
We don't recommend placing a latex mattress directly on the floor or on a traditional box spring, as airflow beneath the mattress matters. For REST® mattresses with pocketed coils, the Supplemental Foundation Layer (SFL™) is required on box springs and on slatted foundations with more than 1″ between slats. If you already have a foundation, check with our team before you order.
Every OMI mattress is backed by a 20-year limited warranty. Natural latex is exceptionally durable and resilient, and far less likely to break down or develop body impressions than conventional foam. With proper support and care, an OMI mattress provides many years of comfortable sleep. See the warranty for details.
If within 90 days of receiving your mattress you find it isn't the right firmness for you, we'll work with you to find a solution. Our Comfort Accommodation Policy covers adjustments and exchanges under specific conditions, so please read it in full before purchasing.
Note that this is a comfort accommodation, not a return or refund. Because our mattresses are made to order, standard returns are not accepted.
“Free trial” programs build the cost of returned mattresses into every order, so the customers who keep their mattress help pay for the ones that come back. Returned mattresses often can't be resold as new, and many become waste.
For an OMI mattress, that would mean sending certified organic cotton, wool and natural latex into a disposal stream after only brief use. These materials begin with real farms, animals, soil, skilled labor and strict organic standards, and we believe they deserve a more responsible model.

Every OMI mattress is handmade to order in the USA. Lead time is generally 14–21 business days from order placement. Mattresses and foundations ship free to your door, and you'll receive tracking information when your order is scheduled to ship. Delivery to most locations typically takes an additional 5–7 business days after your mattress leaves our workshop.
Standard shipping delivers to your door. In-home delivery is recommended unless you've arranged to have your mattress brought inside and set up yourself. Most of our customers choose the highest service level our freight partner offers: Room of Choice with Setup.
Currently we ship to the contiguous 48 US states only. We are not able to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or international destinations at this time. Please contact us if you have questions about your location.
Our all-latex models are compatible with adjustable bases; look for Adjustable-Base Friendly in the specifications or the comparison table. Models with innerspring construction and edge support are not suited to an adjustable base.
Natural latex has a mild, natural rubber scent when first unpacked, which dissipates within a few days of airing out. If you're sensitive to smells, allow a few days of ventilation in a well-aired room before use.
No. OMI mattresses meet federal flammability standards through the natural fire resistance of organic wool, with no chemical flame retardants used or needed. Wool is naturally flame-resistant thanks to its high nitrogen and water content, and has served as a natural fire barrier in organic mattresses for decades.
Yes. Our finished mattresses are certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), the world's leading standard for organic textiles, covering the entire supply chain from raw fiber to finished product, including environmental and social criteria. Our certification number is CU 823400. Our latex is GOLS certified organic natural rubber latex from the sap of rubber trees. We do not use synthetic foams, chemical flame retardants or any substance prohibited by GOTS.
Natural Dunlop latex is processed differently from the latex in gloves and medical products, and most people with latex sensitivities tolerate natural mattress latex well because the proteins that cause reactions are largely washed out in processing. If you know or suspect you have a latex allergy, consult your physician before purchasing any latex mattress. Our Traditional mattress is latex-free and may be a suitable alternative.
